All the bedding in your house can be a nice place for different bugs and bacteria. But before buying new bedding, we recommend cleaning and disinfection of the old one. Keep in mind that bedding should also be disinfected after illnesses such as flue.

First of all, protect your hands and face. Use special gloves and a mask.

All the delicate bedding that can not be washed in the washing machine should be hand-washed. Use warm water and very mild detergent.

And now prepare special cleaning solution. Mix ¼ cup of bleach with one gallon of water. Use a spray bottle for easier use.

Spray this solution on the surfaces that cannot be washed and let them air-dry.

If you use bedding that can be washed in a washing machine, wash them in hot water adding mild detergent.

Let your bedding air-dry or use the hottest dryer setting.

Some people don’t like using bleach, in such a case you may substitute it with a nontoxic alternative cleaner. Read the labels carefully.

Also keep in mind that bleach should not be used with other chemicals.
