Getting Rid Of Unknown Stains

It is easy to remove the stain if you know its origin, much harder to get rid of unknown stains. But keep in mind that it is harder but not impossible. You will need more time and patience, because you will have to find the stain remover that will really work.

Below is the list of homemade stain removers that can be applied on the unknown stains.

Ammonia Laundry Mix

You will need one part of ammonia and eight parts of water. Apply the solution on the stain and leave for 10-15 minutes. Afterwards wash the clothes in a washing machine.

Enzyme Laundry Detergent

You will need one teaspoon of laundry detergent with enzymes and one cup of water.

Apply a stain remover and leave it for 10-15 minutes and wash the clothes in a washing machine. You may also apply usual pre-wash stain remover that can be found in any store.

Dishwashing Liquid Stain Remover

Sometimes dishwashing liquid works perfectly for greasy stains. In order to prepare the mixture you will need a teaspoon of hand dishwashing liquid and one cup of water.

Apply this mixture on a stain and leave it there for 10 or 15 minutes. Afterwards wash as usual in a washing machine.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Keep in mind that you don’t need to dilute it. Just apply on a stain and leave there for 10 minutes. Afterwards wash as usual in a washing machine.

All of these solutions may help you to get rid of unknown stains, but if after the first wash the stain doesn’t disappear, you will have to reapply the stain remover.

Sometimes it takes 3-5 washes to get rid of the horrible stain. Just be calm and patient!
