Coffee and tea

First of all, you need to understand that you need to use the gentlest approach first. Read the labels on the clothes in order to know what detergents can be used while cleaning them.

The hardest thing with coffee or tea stains is that they become yellowish when you try to remove them. In order to remove fresh coffee or tea stain, rinse it in hot water. When the stain is fresh it’s easy to clean it. Everything is much harder with old stains. But for the old stains you can use borax. Mix two tablespoons of borax with a cup of water and pour it on the stain, leave it for 10 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. And now wash your clothes in a washing machine using usual detergent.

Gum

Gum stains are not so hard to remove. First of all, freeze the stain. You can use a usual freezer or several cubes of ice. When the gum is hardened scrape it off using a knife or scissors. When you’ve finished with scrubbing, rub the stain with white vinegar and then wash the clothes.

Mustard

Mustard stain should be removed and cleaned as soon as possible, because it’s hard to remove an old mustard stain off your clothes. You need to remember that mustard acts as a dye on clothes, so the best variant is to use a commercial spot cleaner. After using a cleaner you need to soak you fabric in color safe bleach and cold water, leave it for a while and then wash in the washing machine.

Red wine

If you’ve spilled red wine, you need to stop the stain from spreading first. In order to do it you can use baking soda or table salt. Leave it for 10-12 minutes and then rinse it off using club soda. You can also rinse the stain using equal parts of dishwashing liquid and white vinegar.

Chocolate

In order to get rid of chocolate stain you will need to mix one teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and a half-teaspoon of ammonia, adding this mixture in a cup of cold water. Apply this mixture on the stain, but don’t rub it and then wash normally in the washing machine.
